Annapurna Trekking Itinerary

Annapurna Sanctuary (Base Camp) Trek
Trekking Itinerary
This is one of the most popular treks in the Annapurna Region. The trail goes alongside terraced rice paddies, lush rhododendron forests, and high altitude landscapes. There are few treks that combine so many different landscapes and bring you so close to the base of 7.000m and 8.000m high peaks in such a short period of time as the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. ABC
The setting of the Annapurna Base Camp at 4.130m is unique and incredibly spectacular, set amidst the mighty peaks of Annapurna I (8.091m), Annapurna South (7.219m), Machapuchhre (6.993m) and Hiunchuli (6.441m). The lodges in the Annapurna Trekking Region are well equipped with in general extensivemenus, ranging from the typical Nepali ‘dahl bath’ (rice with lentils) to pizza and spaghetti. Hot showers are readily available as well. The Annapurna’s are easily accessible, with the starting points of the different treks just an hour or two away from Pokhara.

GHT Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community Trek

Trekking Itinerary
Just to the West of the Annapurna Sanctuary route lies the Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community Trek. The trail is also called the ‘Myagdi Parbat Eco-trek’ and it’s located in the area around Poon Hill, and partly lies right on the Great Himalaya Lower Trail (Cultural Route). Annapurna region, Dhaulagiri (RS)
This is one of several new community-managed projects in Nepal, where the benefits from your visit reach the whole community. The trek offers you a fabulous Nepal experience with a mixture of nature and culture in abundance. The views from Khopra (3.650m) are far better than from highly visited Poon hill. You have amazing views of both the impressive Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Massive. An additional advantage: with its yak farm, Khopra Ridge is the only place in the Annapurnas where you can encounter yaks!
